Signa is a collection of instrumental compositions by John Mark Nelson, inspired by the natural world. Each piece attempts to preserve the memory of a geographical location or moment in time. As this fragile planet responds to the growing climate crisis, sacred spaces disappear in wildfires, vanish beneath rising floods, and are shattered by earthquakes. Beauty that existed for millennia can be lost in an instant. From towering monoliths to a single fleeting sunset, this project strives to be an act of gratitude - naming all that we have, and all we have to lose.
